About ya boy

G’day! My name is Benny and I am originally from a small town on the South Coast called Tuross Head.

I currently reside in Sydney and have been here since 2010.

Prior to moving to Sydney, I studied and completed a BA Media & Communication, Majoring in Journalism at the University of Wollongong.

I have worked in pubs, bars and events in Sydney, up and down the South Coast and interstate for the past 22 years. I first became a Publican at the age of 22 years old in my home town, thrust into the deep end with only minimal experience bartending and no management experience at that point.

Whilst in Sydney I have run a variety of different pubs, cocktail bars and small restaurants/bistros before owning my own pub – The Lord Gladstone Hotel, which I founded and ran from 2015 to 2025 when I sold to pursue future endeavours and projects.

Currently I am at TAFE, studying Individual Disability Support and am lucky enough to be working with mates on their passions and projects, slinging pizzas with Antico Wood Fired Pizza, as well as producing and running events with The Good Time Sports Co and The King Street Crawl.

My hobbies include surfing, boxing, collecting, fashion and creative writing

I am willing to have a crack at anything. Seriously… what I lack in experience within a field or role, I make up with enthusiasm, a desire to continually gain knowledge and a natural ability strengthen a team through support and understanding what my role is.
